Empowering & Equipping Ministry Leaders
Greetings!
Praise the Lord March

We are grateful to share the highlights of our activities for the month of March:

1. Teacher Training Workshop at Bible Center in Kampong Chhnang:
We give thanks to God for the fruitful Teacher Training Workshop (TTW) held at the Bible Center in Kampong Chhnang on March 1-2. We had 12 participants join this training, with 6 of them qualified and committed to becoming teachers of BTCP.

We praise God for this achievement and remain committed to nurturing and equipping our educators for impactful teaching.
2.  Bible Interpretation Seminar in Kampong Chhnang:
On March 8, we organized a Bible Interpretation Seminar in collaboration with the Bible Center. This seminar aimed to equip pastors and church leaders with essential skills for interpreting the Bible effectively. We are thankful to God for the overwhelming response, with 27 pastors and church leaders attending the seminar.

Participants expressed their feelings during the seminar. Many shared that prior to this event, they faced challenges in interpreting the Bible accurately. However, through the guidance provided in the seminar, they felt equipped and confident in preparing lessons and sermons for preaching.

We rejoice and praise the Lord in witnessing the positive impact of this seminar on our attendees.

3.  New Staff training in Battambang:
On March 20-21, we conducted the New Staff Training in Battambang.
This training aimed to onboard and equip our new staff members with the mission and vision and knowledge to excel in their roles within CCI ministry.

The training focused on 5 best practices for effective ministry. In these two days, we emphasized the first two best practices:
Best Practice #1:
Team Development – helping staff to develop a team to effectively implement a strategy and fulfill the mission and vision of ministries.
Through interactive sessions and team-building activities, we emphasized the value of communication, trust, and mutual support among team members.

Best Practice #2:
Ministry Expansion - As we continue to grow and expand our ministry, it is essential to equip our staff with the tools and strategies needed for effective outreach and impact. During the training, we explored innovative approaches to ministry expansion. What can we do to expand the ministry? Are there things we need to do, or do we just trust God to expand the ministry?

I am thankful to Jesus for His presence and guidance throughout the training program. His blessings have enabled us to equip our staff members with the skills and knowledge they need to fulfill our organization's mission effectively.
Thank you for your prayers and support,

Sitha Dourng
CCI Cambodia National Director
Testimony
"My name is Sok Samnang, and I am a student at CCI in Siem Reap. As I reflect on my life's journey, I am grateful for the transformative power of God's Word and the guidance I've received through my studies at CCI.

Currently, I have just finished Book 5, and I find myself at a pivotal moment in my life. I have been studying for 3 years now, and I can see God's grace in my life. Through prayer and reflection, I have discerned a clear calling from God for both myself and my family to embark on a ministry journey.

This January, I started an English class at my house for children in my village. Every evening, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM, I open my doors to young kids and youths in my community, inviting them to participate in English classes. I am blessed to say that we now have 50 students eagerly participating in these classes.

While teaching English, I weave in the timeless truths found within the pages of Scripture. I pray that in the near future, this will become a small group.

In closing, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to CCI for their invaluable contribution to my spiritual growth and ministry preparation. The knowledge, guidance, and support I have received from this class have equipped me for the task at hand. I am forever indebted to CCI and all those who labor tirelessly in the vineyard of God's kingdom.

May the Lord continue to bless the work of CCI as you empower individuals like myself to answer the call of ministry and spread the light of God's love to the ends of the earth. Please continue to pray that these small acts may bring profit for the Gospel."
Prayer Requests & Praises
Thank you for your continued prayers! We praise the Lord for another month of serving Him on the mission field by equipping the church.

·      Pray for those who attended the God's Financial Principles in Kampong Chhnang province on April 9-10, 2024. Please pray that they will manage their finances with biblical wisdom and become good stewards of what God has provided.

·      Pray for Sitha, who travels 4 hours by car every Monday morning to teach at Highlands Bible Institute and teach BTCP.

·      Pray for Rotha, who is planting a new church in a village south of Siem Reap. Rotha is spreading the Gospel in the flooded villages. Currently, about 38 families have accepted Christ through Rotha.

·      Pray for the church that is laying the foundation on the water in preparation to build the church. It will cost about $5,000 to use bamboo as a raft before constructing the roof.

·      Pray for Meas Sat as he travels twice per month to train a class in Tany, Kampot.

·      Pray for our teachers: for the wisdom to equip the saints for the work of ministry.

·      Pray for the country of Cambodia: it’s government, its leaders, its students, it’s future, and pray for the local churches that we work with to grow IN CHRIST.

·      Please pray that God raises up new trainers and coordinators to meet the need of the Gospel in Cambodia.
