All-Star Families,

As we are all aware, end-of-day traffic on 36th continues to be less than desirable. Most days we find traffic backed up onto Regal and sometimes onto 37th. This is a safety concern for students, staff, and drivers alike. While we have no magic wand to fix it, we can offer some considerations to help us alleviate the situation.

  • When weather permits, have your child walk or bike to school using our supervised crosswalks at 37th and Regal, 36th and Fiske, 35th and Ray, and 35th and Freya.
  • Park on 35th and walk to campus or have your child walk to your car.
  •  Park in the northwest corner of the Ferris parking lot and cross at crosswalk at 37th and Regal.
  •  When unable to turn onto 36th, drive forward to 35th and loop back around (Ray, 37th, Regal).
  • Do not park or drop off/pick up students in the bus turnout on 37th.
  •  Pull up to the loading area on 36th and allow staff to assist students into cars rather than wave them to your car further down the sidewalk.

Thank you for considering these other options and for working together to keep students, staff, families, and drivers safe.

Thanks for sharing your greatest gift with us…your child!
