The Rockledge Rotary Foundation’s Space Coast Derby Day on May 4 coincides with the running of the Kentucky Derby. The event combines in-person and virtual participation. Beneficiaries include the Salvation Army in Brevard, Crosswinds Youth Services, the Children’s Hunger Project, and the Brevard Zoo’s Legacy Aquarium Project. The Derby Day After Party at The Twisted Birch will feature a live & silent auction and a party with heavy gourmet hors d’oeuvres.

COCOA ELKS SPRING FLING


Packing for our kids took place at the recent Cocoa Elks 1532 Spring Fling, joined by Cocoa High School JROTC. Emma Jewel Charter Academy also helped pack. 300 food packages completed with Emma Jewel students! Students also had a taste test of our food package items. Next group up to help us out, friends from the Brevard Veterans Coalition. Trash Bash came through, too.This event was complete with the Easter Bunny, crafts, action figures, cotton candy, popcorn, and bounce house, all for the local Cocoa families!

On behalf of Cocoa Elks 1532 Lynn Yawn presents a check for $1,500 to Cheryl Cominsky to help feed TCHP kids!

Class of '64 Cocoa High alumni who is also a Cocoa Elks member presents additional funds from Cocoa Elks.

We're over the moon with gratitude for Patrick Space Force Base! They've truly gone above and beyond by volunteering their time for their Service Impact Day. Their efforts have been out of this world as they've helped us with our Spring Cleaning and packed food packages for our kids. We couldn't have done it without their stellar contribution!
