What The Latest Consumer Price Index Means For The Travel Industry



When it comes to airfare pricing trends, there’s good news and there’s bad news.


According to the just-released August 2024 Consumer Price Index data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, average airfare prices have ticked up 3.8 percent since July.


That’s the most substantial month-over-month increase in nearly two years. But according to the experts at Going, there’s a silver lining.

BMW Plans To bring Its First Hydrogen Car Onto The Market From 2028


BERLIN, Sept 5 (Reuters) - BMW (BMWG.DE), aims to bring its first hydrogen-powered vehicle onto the market in 2028, using fuel cell technology developed with Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T), the German carmaker said on Thursday.

The company said the vehicle would be an existing model with a hydrogen fuel cell drive option, without giving further details. It also did not give details on price or production volume.

BMW CEO Oliver Zipse said in a statement the vehicle would "highlight how technological progress is shaping the mobility of the future".
