North Austin Economic Study Tour | October 23 - 25

Join North County Chambers and the San Diego North Economic Development Council on a trip to North Austin, Texas to explore the economic growth strategies of another suburban area.


Why North Austin?

Austin, TX is among the fastest-growing regions in the US. It boasts a diverse, knowledge-based economy with high-quality K-16+ education. Much of this growth is happening in the northern suburbs of Austin, particularly in Round Rock and its surrounding areas. Join us to discover the similarities between these communities and North County San Diego. Explore their approach to economic and workforce development as suburban cities located in a larger metro area. This will be an opportunity to gain new insights into driving North County’s prosperity while also networking with other North County leaders.

Ignite Your Potential: Young Women's Empowerment Summit

The purpose of the Ignite Your Potential program is to introduce young women to various aspects of the fire service while developing important character traits. The program prepares participants for the competitive path to a career in the fire service or whatever career they may pursue. All genders are welcome. The program is open to individuals aged 16-22 of all genders. This 3-day course will be held from August 9-11, from 8 am to 5 pm, at locations in Vista, Oceanside, and Carlsbad.
