Habitats for Native Pollinators & Western Monarchs
The City has once again joined forces with the Climate Action Commission and the SeaWeeders to enhance the pollinator habitat in our community. On Tuesday, April 23rd, we planted over 200 native nectar and milkweed plants across Solana Beach, including the Coastal Rail Trail, La Colonia Park, and Fire Station. These plants are crucial for nurturing a safe habitat for native pollinators and Western Monarchs. This collaborative effort reflects our dedication to expanding healthy pollinator ecosystems in Solana Beach, aligning with our Mayor's Monarch Pledge. Let's continue to raise monarch awareness and work together to preserve these beautiful creatures.
