Thank you, Volunteers!

Please join us in recognizing the efforts of these special people this week, and on Advent's Volunteer Appreciation Sunday, May 19, when we will have special treats and prize drawings after service.

In light of it being National Volunteer Week, we would like to thank our many dedicated volunteers for their time and commitment to Advent. We currently have over 125 volunteers, with many serving in multiple roles. From counting weekly offering to vacuuming sanctuary pews, from prepping communion to serving on council, we are fortunate to have such gifted and helpful people making Advent a unique and thriving place. We heartily welcome the time and talents of anyone interested in volunteering at Advent.

Prayer

Prayer is our personal connection with God and guides us individually and as a church. It is a vital part of our faith life, and an important way we can continue to minister to one another. We know that God hears our prayers and will empower us to see God’s will in our lives!

Pray for our church and our world this week, for our community as we come together for worship each week and seek ways to live justly and safely together, and for all people on our weekly prayer list:

Jan N., Mary B., Pettie B., Barb H., Margaret, Terry M., Sue C., Roy, Diana, Elaine M., Chuck M., Jace L., Kate B., Morgan B., Dian W., and for all to be blessed by the Holy Spirit's faith.

We ask God to provide comfort to those who are struggling with health concerns, grieving the loss of a loved one, and/or experiencing difficulty in their home.

Pray for veterans and those serving in the U.S. Armed Forces, including Advent members Erik Strootman, Maren Strootman, and Luke Wallin.

(Due to privacy concerns and internet safety protocol, we cannot publish last names.) For confidential prayer requests, please e-mail our Prayer Chain leaders.
