The PA Chamber Makes it Possible: The Power of Internships

Attracting and retaining the next generation of skilled, inspired workers is key to the PA Chamber’s mission and a major part of the multi-tiered workforce development strategy we’re working to implement across the Commonwealth. How do we entice up-and-coming generations of talent to choose Pennsylvania as the ideal place to work, live, and STAY? The PA Chamber believes that a big part of this is propelling students into inspiring internships that show them promising career paths; helping them develop the “hard” and “soft” skills that teach them on-site job training and what it means to be a model employee; and assisting them in meeting their academic goals while showing them that there are ample, exciting career opportunities right here in Pennsylvania!

The Schuylkill Chamber extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who attended the highly successful Annual Luncheon held on May 3, 2024. The event was marked by a remarkable display of community support and collaboration. A special acknowledgment goes to our esteemed sponsor, Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill, whose generous support played a pivotal role in making this event possible. We are deeply appreciative of their commitment to our community. Our sincere thanks also extend to Mountain Valley Golf Course, our gracious host, for providing a beautiful venue for our gathering. The stunning floral arrangements, courtesy of Freed's Flowers sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield, added an extra touch of elegance to the occasion. We wish to express our gratitude to Cynthia Mensch, Chair of the event, and outgoing Board members for their dedicated service and leadership in advancing the mission of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce. A special mention goes to our keynote speaker, Megan Martin, Esquire, whose inspiring address left a lasting impression on all attendees. Lastly, we congratulate the 2024 Award winners announced during the luncheon by Awards Committee Chair Jessica Dean.
