Dear REF Community,

School is in session in Ravenswood, and the hallways are buzzing with excitement! For the first time in many years, all positions, including teachers, coaches and administrators, are fully staffed and the school teams are hitting the ground running. Facilities are being upgraded, strategic professional development is underway, data is being analyzed to drive decision-making, and the partnership between the district and REF is stronger than ever.

With all of this progress, the coming year has the potential to be the best one yet for children and families in East Palo Alto and eastern Menlo Park.

But WE NEED YOU! Come join the fun, feel the love on campus, and be part of a team that really needs your support. Teachers and students at Ravenswood are SO APPRECIATIVE of your efforts. Making our community a better place is as easy as ABC!

Adopt-A-Classroom. Teachers work incredibly hard to make their classrooms places where the magic of learning takes place. You can support them and their students by "adopting" a TK-8 classroom this year. This program connects teachers with volunteers to provide encouraging notes, small gifts of appreciation, school supplies and optional classroom parties. The financial commitment is $500 for the school year and time commitment is very flexible. It's fun and easy to adopt a classroom with a few friends. Sign up here!

Be a part of our volunteer efforts. You can make a huge difference by investing your time in directly supporting Ravenswood students. We have a number of ongoing and one-time volunteer projects from working with students in the libraries to adopting classrooms to campus beautification.
