Greetings...welcome to your Fire Replicas Newsletter for October/November!
We hope this update finds you all doing well. We're traveling at the moment, so this newsletter will be a bit brief. Thankfully, after this trip, we should be back at our main location until Christmas. Thanks for your patience if you've had to leave a voicemail and wait for a callback.
Our recent factory visit was long overdue, but well worth the investment. Unfortunately, on day 4, our factory sustained major flood damage as 2 weeks of constant rain caused the river and sewers to overflow. We lost most of the contents of the first floor, which was mostly administrative, engineering and master carton/box storage. About 3 dump trucks were called in to haul away the remnants. Although our factory team was incredibly positive through the experience, I can say that nothing makes you appreciate civil engineering and public works in the US like walking several miles in waist deep river and sewer water in China...to get to high ground.
Our most recent shipment again arrived early, consisting of FDNY, Dallas and St. Louis Ladders, as well as Miami-Dade Tankers. The next shipment arrives in late November, assuming no delays with the short union strike earlier this month, or holiday backups. On that boat are the Boston Rescues, and the other new releases below.
We're excited about the new models being introduced over the next months. The Columbus Tillers turned out remarkably well, and the American LaFrance Ladder Chiefs for Chicago are sure to be popular. Another 200 units of the Emergency! Ward LaFrance will be here soon, along with the first Mack MC's for FDNY.
Well, we've made it 10 years as next month marks Fire Replicas' first decade. Thank you all for making it possible, your loyalty, word of mouth, enthusiasm and the investment you've made in our products. Especially in times like this, we do not take it lightly.
Call or email if I can help in any way...thank you all!
Nicholas
