homebuyer education: why wait?

The best time to take a homebuyer education class is when you are starting to consider buying a home. Be prepared and knowledgeable by learning how to navigate the many steps in the process, including creating a budget, understanding your credit score, finding a lender, and the loan process. In-person classes are available at no cost and online classes are available for a fee.

Here’s what some of CHFA’s borrowers have said about homebuyer education:

“I have recommended this class to anyone even thinking of purchasing a home in the near future. It was informative, well thought out, and had great speakers involved.”

“I learned so much about the buying and financial process. I feel more confident to make financial decisions after the course.”

“At closing we felt we knew exactly what we were signing and felt extremely confident that the class we attended had set us up for success.”

“After taking the class, we both felt very knowledgeable. Both of us brag about this class to our friends, family, and strangers."

Classes are available to anyone interested, not just CHFA borrowers. To learn more and sign up for a class, visit CHFA’s homebuyer education webpage.
