For the first time since the pandemic, medical students had the chance to breathe in some fresh mountain air, go hiking, laugh around a bonfire and sleep in cabins on a weekend retreat at Georgetown’s Calcagnini Contemplative Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia to build deeper relationships with one another.

ISPY: A Unique, Flexible Breast Cancer Trial for Modern Times

The ISPY2 breast cancer clinical trial, a unique phase 2 study that offers a broad range of treatment options for patients with locally advanced breast cancer, is enrolling people through Georgetown’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, a part of the MedStar Georgetown Cancer Institute. The trial is offered at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

International Overdose Awareness Day: Naloxone Training and Distribution with HoyaDOPE

This training will provide the knowledge and skills to act swiftly and effectively in the face of an overdose. Upon completion of the training, every participant will receive naloxone, a lifesaving medication that can reverse an opioid-related overdose.
