President's Message
by Max Duplant, CPA

The month of May marks the culmination of several significant events within our organization. A fiscal year closes, a long-anticipated event comes to completion, and a President’s term draws to its end.
Convergence 2024, our year-long production, unfolded on Friday, May 10, captivating nearly 500 attendees with a day brimming with learning, networking and entertainment. It was a testament to our community’s commitment to excellence, and we so appreciate the outstanding contributions of everyone involved. We have already begun the planning process for next year’s event – our 20th! – so expect exciting details to be revealed throughout the year as Convergence 2025 comes to life.
But this month’s festivities don’t end with Convergence. For our vibrant young members, tonight promises fun and camaraderie as we celebrate and build relationships with our CFA Society DFW colleagues at a Young Professionals Group social event at The Happiest Hour. There’s still time to join; simply click here to register.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for May 21, as Robert Goudge, Frost Bank Vice President, unveils insights on leveraging your bank to manage cash flow effectively, part of our Cash Management Series. And don’t miss the Series’ grand finale on June 19, as Kenny Broom, Director, Venture Capital for MG Stover, imparts wisdom on crafting a bitcoin treasury strategy. The CPE Council is already hard at work creating next year’s educational journey, promising an enriching and exciting experience for all.
As I step down as TXCPA Dallas Board President, I must express my profound gratitude to those who have been pillars of strength and inspiration throughout my tenure. To the esteemed Executive Board of TXCPA Dallas, your wisdom and integrity have been invaluable. To the tireless committees and chairs, your steadfast commitment fuels our success. And to the unsung heroes of TXCPA Dallas, our administrative staff, it is your skill and dedication that keeps the engine running smoothly and allows this association to continue moving forward. I thank you all.
On June 1, the President’s gavel passes to Donovan Miller, a long-time and ardent advocate of the Dallas Chapter and a seasoned leader. I have full confidence in Donovan’s ability to steer our organization to even greater heights.
TXCPA Dallas stands as a beacon of professional distinction and community in the accounting and financial services sectors. Our membership is the lifeblood of this enterprise. My hope is that you’ve found inspiration to engage even more deeply with this association in the past year and that you’ll continue to do so, reaping the myriad benefits it offers for yourself and future generations.
Thank you for your constant support and encouragement. Wishing you all the very best in your endeavors.
Warmest regards,
Max Duplant, CPA
Executive Board President, 2023-24
