Telesis Academy students and staff applaud as their own Titan Paula Stella Martinez is overwhelmed with emotion by being selected as the District Teacher of the Year.

Rowland Unified School District is proud to honor all of our amazing certificated employees, certificated employees of the year and the District Teacher of the Year, Paula Stella Martinez. Mrs. Martinez is an icon on the Telesis Academy campus, connecting with staff and students alike with her charismatic smile, passion for sharing her love of history and the political process and igniting students' inquiry and confidence to share their own voice.

Telesis Academy Teacher Paula Stella Martinez is also the advisor for the Telesis Debate team. Students learned about parliamentary debate and became experts on both sides of up to 20 different topics! They were recognized last month at the RUSD Board Meeting for earning a first place trophy from the Inland Valley Debate League.
