Parent Education Night is Tuesday, October 15


Join us Tuesday, October 15 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. to learn about the UCLA admissions process and UC transfer process!


We are excited to welcome UCLA Associate Vice Chancellor and Admissions Director Gary Clark!


Spanish and Mandarin interpretation will be provided.

District-wide College Fair on Wednesday, October 16


This year the District-wide College Fair will be held at Aragon High School in San Mateo on Wednesday, October 16 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. This event is open to all SMUHSD students and their families. Mills Groove-A-Thon is Friday, October 25


Groove-a-thon, held on Friday, October 25, is a fun-packed event that showcases the musical talents of Mills students from Choir, Concert Band, String Orchestra, and Jazz Band!


Admission is free, but donations are encouraged, and there is food available for purchase throughout the event. 

8th Grade Family Night


Please join us on Wednesday, October 30 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. This is a great opportunity for potential students and families to visit Mills, meet faculty, and learn about our programs. Visit here for more information.

A Vikings Potluck


Join us for our 1st Viking Potluck where we hope to share food, culture, and laughter. It will also be a time we hope to encourage everyone to donate to the Annual Fund Drive. Help SMUHSD spread the word about the part-time (30 hours a week) Instructional Assistant I, Special Education opening at Burlingame High School. Depending on experience, this position can make anywhere from $28.90 - $35.13 per hour.

Chinatown Rising Film Screening: October 25


The San Mateo County Office of Education presents: Chinatown Rising Film Screening


Friday, October 25, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.


Attend this free screening of Chinatown Rising, a documentary about the Asian American Movement, highlighting young residents who protested and challenged conservative views in their changing neighborhood from the 1960s to the 1980s. Learn more.

Congressional App Challenge


The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is a public effort to inspire students to dream big and encourage them to learn how to code through annual district-wide competitions hosted by Members of Congress for their district.


6th-12th grade students are invited to create and submit their own app for the opportunity to receive national recognition. Submissions are due by October 24, 9 a.m. Learn more: https://www.congressionalappchallenge.us/
