Baby Fold Publications Selected for National Resource Library

After a thorough assessment by the only faith-based accreditation program in the United States, The Baby Fold has been awarded EAGLE Accreditation with Commendation for going beyond licensure requirements to improve operational processes and outcomes while pursuing excellence in a holistic, Christian mission.

As a result of this accreditation, EAGLE selected two publications from The Baby Fold's self-study for their Shared Resource Library, exemplifying The Baby Fold’s commitment to excellence. This library of best-practice documentation will serve as a valuable resource for other organizations as they prepare for their own accreditation processes.

Additionally, The Baby Fold received nine commendations including its integration of mission, vision, and values, extensive community involvement, the measurement of service delivery against internal and external quality measures, leadership development, and more.

Mary Kemper, President/CEO of the Methodist Ministries Network, congratulated The Baby Fold, saying, “We extend our congratulations to The Baby Fold for its commitment to upholding EAGLE’s principles that reinforce the importance of faith-based mission, operational excellence, and responsible stewardship."

Spotlight on The Baby Fold's Board of Directors

To recognize the varied talents that play a key role in our organization's success, we're featuring two members of our Board of Directors each month.

This month, we introduce Board Secretary Sandi Scheidenhelm, a retired OSF St. Joseph Program Director, and a teacher at Illinois State University's Mennonite College of Nursing and Chamberlain University. Sandi’s connection to The Baby Fold runs deep—her daughter attended Hammitt School. We're also highlighting Board Treasurer Matt Johnston, who leads an oversight team at State Farm. Matt lives in Heyworth with his spouse and two children and enjoys gardening and cooking.
