FEDERAL FISCAL YEAR END - REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT (RFR)

We are approaching the end of the federal fiscal year.  We will need any RFRs requesting federal funds submitted to your MoDOT Project Manager prior to Aug. 30. If requests are not received by close of business on Aug. 30, payment will not be issued until mid-October when the federal system is back up and running for their new federal fiscal year.  Please gather and send all invoices that need to be processed with the signed RFR sheet to your assigned MoDOT Project Manager.

THREE NEW MODOT AVIATION EMPLOYEES

Please welcome three new members to our MoDOT Aviation Team. Emalee Harris has accepted the position of Multimodal Operations Specialist – Aviation Planning and Projects. Ryan Reed and Riley Bernskoetter are the Aviation team’s new Multimodal Operations Specialists – Aviation Financial.  All new staff will be attending the 4 States Conference this week. If you get a chance, please introduce yourself and welcome them to the Missouri aviation community.  

EXPIRING FUNDS

Please provide MoDOT a plan to spend NPE and COVID funds by Dec.13. If you are unable to spend these funds, please contact your MoDOT aviation project manager to start the turnback process for NPE.


Expiration Dates of NPE, funds need to be expended by: 

  • 2019 NPE: July 21, 2025 
  • 2020 NPE: July 30, 2025 


Expiring COVID funds, need to be expended by: 

  • CRRSA: June 16, 2025
  • 2021 NPE: Aug. 1, 2025
  • ARPA: Aug. 15, 2025

 

2022 BIL AIG Funds

BIL AIG funds will not be extended and will be recovered by the FAA. Please submit the final design cost (if design only) and/or final construction bid cost and/or final construction inspection cost by May 1, 2025.   

APPLEGATE AIRPORT EMPLOYEE WINS TWO PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS

Applegate Airport (5MO) in Queen City, Missouri, recently hosted a celebration for Maurice Bonnel, recipient of the prestigious FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award and the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award for 50 years of exemplary flight and aviation maintenance experience.

2025 FAA BIL FCT NOFO

NOFO for FY25 competitive Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Contract Tower (FCT) grants are now open. Applications are now being accepted, through Sept. 18 at 4:00 p.m.

Please note, if your airport applied for an ATCT project under the FY25 BIL Airport Terminal Program NOFO that closed on July 3 and is eligible under the FY25 FCT competitive grant program, you do not need to reapply for consideration of the project. This program compliments what the FAA already has available to eligible airport sponsors through other federal financial assistance programs including the Airport Improvement Program.
