KODIAK BULLETIN

Dear Kodiaks Families,

Welcome! We are thrilled to kick off another exciting academic year at CSS! As we embark on this new journey together, I want to express my heartfelt enthusiasm for the opportunities that lie ahead. It was great to see new and familiar faces at the Ice Cream Social and Welcome Coffee hosted by the Parents Association. A huge thank you to PA for their dedication to hosting events that strengthen our CSS community!

A Connected Kodiak Community

This year, we are embracing the theme of community. We believe that a strong, connected community is essential for fostering a nurturing and inspiring educational environment moving forward. Together, we will celebrate our diversity, support one another, and create lasting relationships that enhance the learning experience for everyone.

We invite you to help define what community is at CSS in the coming months. One way community can be defined at CSS is this: Providing a dynamic and inclusive group of students, educators, families, and staff who are united by a commitment to educational excellence, personal growth, and mutual respect. Community means fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, supported, and inspired to contribute to the greater good. CSS is committed to forward thinking and we appreciate your support!

Important Announcements for the Upcoming Week

School Picture Day

Mark your calendars! Next week, we will be having our annual School Picture Day on August 22nd. Please ensure students come dressed and ready to smile for the camera! Class photos and individual portraits will be taken by LifeTouch in the Trianon and on the Quad.

Fall Athletics & After-school Extended Care Programs

I am also excited to announce that athletics are off to a great start! Cross country, mountain biking, volleyball, and tennis student-athletes, along with our dedicated coaches, have been preparing for a fantastic season, and we encourage all students to participate in our sports programs. Whether your child is a seasoned athlete or trying something new, there’s a place for everyone on our Kodiak teams.

Go West Camps and Landsharks are also great after-school extended care opportunities for K-5, and registration is now open.

Learn more about scholarships for Go West Camps: here.

As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, I encourage all families to stay engaged and involved. Your support is invaluable in creating a vibrant school community where our students can thrive.

Here’s to a year filled with learning and unforgettable experiences!
