GridWise Alliance has produced six Grid Modernization Index (GMI) reports evaluating states’ progress in modernizing the electric grid. This year, GridWise is conducting a new survey and more comprehensive data collection effort to provide deeper insights on state and utility readiness to accommodate the drivers impacting the electric grid in a reliable and affordable manner.
The survey went live on August 7 and will stay open until September 20. If you are a utility, state policy maker, or state regulator, and would like to participate, click below to sign up!

On August 6, DOE announced a $2.2 billion investment in the nation’s grid for eight projects across 18 states as part of the Grid Innovation Program (GRIP). This investment will focus on grid resilience, innovation, and reliability.
NYPA’s project Clean Path New York was selected for an award!
NYPA joins eight other GridWise Alliance member companies that were selected for awards during the first round in October 2023. We look forward to the remaining round of selections expected later this year!
