1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Newton County Public Library has partnered with 1000 Books Foundation to offer 1000 Books before Kindergarten (1000BooksB4K) for children in our communities.  The objectives of 1000 Books Foundation are simple – promote reading to newborns, infants and toddlers, and encourage parent and child bonding through reading.  

Lake Village, Morocco and Roselawn Libraries have information sheets, log sheets & bookmarks for parents interested in the program.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is a 60-volume set of books beginning with the children’s classic The Little Engine That Could. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child’s name directly to your home. Best of all it is a FREE GIFT! There is no cost or obligation to your family.
