Madeline moved to Findlay with her husband and three children. Madeline’s husband was verbally, emotionally, and economically abusive towards her and their children. He would leave the house and would not come home for multiple days or check in on her and the children. When he finally would come home, he would be intoxicated and sleep for days. All the while, Madeline was taking care of the children and working a full-time job.
Madeline told a friend at work about her situation and her friend recommended that she contact Open Arms. Madeline met with an Advocate and her Advocate helped Madeline sort out her situation and find safe housing for her and her children. Madeline keeps in touch with her Advocate and receives the support she needs.
