4th Sunday in Easter

Cycle B

To know the Holy Spirit and Live the Life of Christ

Hi Friend!

OK, that’s it! It’s settled! I’m not coming back. I will not be returning home to San Diego. Mind you, I’m not leaving the priesthood or anything like that. I’m more in love with it than ever. I am simply choosing to live it out from this point on in Medjugorje, Bosnia. I’m sure you know that is where I am right now leading a pilgrimage. People come here from all over the world to see the Gospa ((Croatian for "Madonna" or "Our Lady") and her Son Jesus. Many of them will tell you that there is no place closer to heaven on earth than Medjugorje. I would say the same. That is why I’m not coming home. I don’t want to leave heaven. So if you want to see me again, you must come to Medjugorje because that is where I will be.

Are you shocked at this news? Well, so am I! But we never know where the spirit will blow. The whole point of our lives however should be to follow where the spirit leads.

OK, it’s time to come clean. I wrote the above to create at least a little shock value in your mind and heart. I want to be clear with you that the spirit is not calling me to stay in Medjugorje but to bring Medjugorje to you in San Diego or to whoever is reading this, and whoever you are called to share Medjugorje with. I can assure you I will come back here and I will bring you with me if you are so called. When I do return to San Diego, I will share whatever I can with you about this special place. There are so many God stories here because there is so much faith and love here! Loving God in faith leads to revelation. Revelation about the infinite goodness, beauty and light of our God. Truly heavenly!

When I return, I look forward to sharing with you about the only reality there is: God is love! And Mother Mary is always ushering into that love ❤️ found in the Sacred Heart ♥️ of her son, Jesus!

I’m praying for you and your prayer intentions,

+Fr John
