All Good Things...
It is as hard to type this as it is to say it, much less do it. Caring Palms is closing as of October 30, 2024. That will be the last available day for sessions. Decisions about classes are still being made, as well as readings. But the landlord has been advised that I will be vacating the premises by the end of the following month.
I love my work. I love helping people. I love connecting to spirit to be guided to do the work needed in each session. Now I guess that I will have to let them guide me somewhere else.
For the past several months, Caring Palms has been having trouble making rent. I have been seeing one to two people per week. Even the classes have not been drawing the numbers that they had in the past. I have always admitted that I am a person that needs to be kicked in the backside to be convinced to move on. I guess this is the universe’s way of doing that.
I will miss all the people I have seen, and all those I have helped, as well as those that have helped me.
The website has been paid for, for the next 2 years, so I could still offer readings over zoom and such. I intend to finish the round of classes started this year by offering up through Reiki 4 before the end of the year. After that it will be a matter of interest and quantity.
Any gift certificates out there that have not been used (whether those purchased or those given as advertisement), must be used by the end of October. After that, they will be null and void.
I know in these poor economic times, people are putting their money to more essential things like food, rent, and necessary supplies. The entire massage industry is hurting, and it is nearing the point that the only places what will be available will be the chains. The independent therapist who depends on your business to stay alive (those with many years of experience), will be fading away.
While it is sad that this is happening, it is what it is. And I say that with no ill will. I accept what the universe is doing, and am going with the flow. I thank all those that have come to Caring Palms over the last 22 years, and know I will miss you.

Reiki Classes
At this point in time, I have been trying to create enough Reiki 1 classes so that I would have a group looking to go into Reiki 2 and then Reiki 3, and maybe even Reiki 4. This past weekend, we had a group of four for Reiki 2. I am going to create one more Reiki 2 class and then a Reiki 3. I will also be looking at a Reiki 4 before the end of the year.
One of the things I said with this last class is that people need to let me know early so that I can book a place to teach if I need to. It did not happen and I taught four people in my 11 x 11 room. I can not do this for Reiki 3 or 4 as we need a table for each pair of students. So it is important that if you are signing up, to sign up early.
See the schedule below. The website will reflect this as soon as I can create the events and payment options. The option to place a deposit on a class and pay later has been removed. The full payment will be necessary at time of sign-up.
So, if you want to finish out your Reiki classes with Caring Palms, your opportunities are listed below. I am not sure at this time if I will be offering classes next year. In the past, I have been offering continuing education to massage therapists, and next year is a renewal year. It will be a decision made in the months to come.

The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class requires a minimum of two (2) students to happen.
Classes can be scheduled any day (Tuesday thru Saturday) provided there are no other appointments scheduled.
If you are interested in taking a class, and one is not listed, please call and one can be scheduled.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.

All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for.
Reiki 1, 2, and 3 classes are Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

Love and Peace

Life comes, life goes
It gives you ups, it gives you downs.
It keeps you running.
But running the mile, or running in place.
Life is a roller coaster.
If gives you great highs, then tremendous lows.
There are twists and turns,
Ins and outs.
One minute you’re right side up,
The next upside down.
Then there’s the corkscrew.
Life is a battle.
There are fights between the ego and the heart.
We strive for what we want,
Or turn away because we feel we won’t make it.
We push, we pull.
We step forward and step back.
But we need make sure we step forward again.
We feel progress, then lack thereof.
We feel stalled.
We doubt. We hesitate.
But this is where energy builds.
The bottle uncorks, and we leap forward.
There is no straight path.
There are curves and up hills and down hills.
Every now and then we get flat land.
Do we meet what is thrown at us?
Or do we run and hide?
Life is a journey, a quest.
It is a chance to go through some interesting times.
To learn, to experience.
We face it with love, and accept each change with peace.
This is the universe unfolding as it should.

Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings.
