Dear Laker Community,

Welcome back to school for the start of our 4th quarter! I hope each of you enjoyed spring break and found time for the people and endeavors that bring you joy as you relaxed and recharged.

It’s hard to believe how quickly the school year is moving, and springtime always seems to move just a little faster. It is a season of celebration at WPS—the next eight weeks are filled with culminating events and milestone experiences. We will see our students Go West, Discover Florida, perform on stage, compete on the athletic fields, get inducted to honor societies, attend prom, cross the bridge, turn a page, graduate from high school, and so much more!

As we went into spring break, we learned that our High School Thespian Troupe’s One Act performers earned 1st Runner Up One Act, as well as additional individual accolades, at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Mobile, Alabama. Earlier this week, our IB juniors showcased the thoughtful work they have done this year in their Theory of Knowledge Exhibition. And this Friday, we will end the school day with a middle and high school pep rally to recognize our phenomenal spring sports athletes.

Across our entire WPS community, there is so much to be proud of. This 4th quarter, we are looking forward to keeping up the good work as we each Celebrate Like a Laker!
