Using Psychodrama, Sociometry, Group Psychotherapy blended with Pesso's Psychomotor System we create new memories from our unmet needs, and these new memories overlay the old memories, providing a pleat in time.
We humans instinctively know how to be with and provide aid to one another. Psychomotor and Psychodrama both provide spaces and structures within which we can use this innate knowing for healing. We will experience how complex, challenging, compassionate and interactive group structures and psychosocial dynamics reveal that the life we are longing for can be found in the present moment, and integrated into our forward moving lives.
In this trauma informed experiential group work we are co-researchers and co-creators.There will be time for learning, practice, sharing and integration. There will be time for reflection as well as action, time for rest as well as movement. From this place of connection and trembling love the difficulties we wrestle with, individually and communally, arise naturally. Our capacity to be with each other and hold what comes forward with curiosity, compassion and courage allow for surprising and authentic new ways of being, with ourselves and one another.
Those new to psychodrama and psychomotor as well as people with experience are welcome to attend. This is a group experience. Who you are and what you bring to group shapes the group. Your strengths and challenges are welcome in equal measure.
The methods and theories of Psychodrama, Group Psychotherapy, Sociometry and the Pesso Psychomotor system will guide our creative explorations; revealing the complex dynamic processes that unfold as we gather to share our common humanity and when warmed up share the gifts of our innate Creativity
Credit can be earned for Psychodrama Certification from the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry & Group Psychotherapy for all training hours. Let Mariann know if you want certification hours.
If you are new to this training group, an interview with Mariann is required before registration.
