FOUNDATION FLASH

Monday, APRIL 1st - Saturday, APRIL 6th 2024

Please help alleviate "Diaper Need" by donating a box of diapers to those less fortunate!

Do you remember how expensive diapers were? "Diaper Need" is a serious problem for people living in poverty. A baby requires up to 12 diapers per day; toddlers about eight.

Sizes 2 - 6 are most needed

Starting April 1st, you can drop off your diaper donation at your neighborhood Diaper Diva who has volunteered to have a collection bin at their home.

Look for the pink and blue balloons in your neighborhood!

CHARITY

HIGHLIGHT

In 2023, a $5,000 contribution from the Pelican Sound Charitable Foundation supported the Reading Corner Program. Funds were provided for the purchase of bookshelves and books for a new mini-library for children and their families at the ICSL Outreach Center. The Reading Corner is used by Summer Lunch attendees and has a weekly story time program throughout the year.

THANK YOU

from HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF LEE & HENDRY COUNTIES, INC.

“Pelican Sound residents’ generosity has not only assisted in the development of affordable housing but has also enabled Habitat to complete homes with essential appliance packages. I am profoundly grateful, on behalf of the families we serve, for Pelican Sound’s trust in Habitat’s mission to build homes, communities, and hope. Together, we are not merely constructing houses; we are laying the groundwork for low-income families to forge better futures for themselves and their children.”
