Google Field Trip

On March 15, 30 RB Computer Science students took a field trip to Google in Chicago! RB alumni Elona Selenica and Melissa Tovar are both software engineers at Google, and they reached out to Mr. Bonarigo and Ms. Czajka to set up this experience. Elona and Melissa had their start in computer science at RB with Mr. Bonarigo and Ms. Czajka in AP Computer Science A and the pilot year of AP Computer Science Principles. Elona and Melissa invited JD DiSantis, an RB alum and contractual vendor for Google, to present on the panel of Googlers. During the field trip, students toured the Google office, learned about the different paths to get there from a panel of Googlers, and were given advice on how to reach their goals. Mr. Bonarigo, Ms. Czajka, Elona, and Melissa hope to make this an annual event for RB students!
