As we grow these contributions, we are able to dig in deep on important projects throughout the year – From finishing construction of the staff housing, to securing our dam and lake, and renovating the guest cabins and dining hall.
It’s going to be a busy and exciting year here at The Mountain and just think what we can achieve if we all contribute what we can to these efforts and make a difference both here and in our greater world.

Now is the Perfect Time
to Plant the Seeds!

Our New Staff Housing is
Springing to Life!
| |
The trees are budding, the air is warming, and The Mountain is awakening from its winter slumber, and just in time for a brand-new season, we are wrapping up the construction of our staff housing. Our team of builders, led by Construction Contractor, Beto, and Assistant Facilities Director, Hayes, have done amazing work for us – from laying the foundation, right through to the finishing touches.
|
Meet Beto and Hayes
These two multi-talented contractors deserve all the thanks The Mountain family has to offer for their dedication in building our staff housing. Throughout this entire process, their professionalism and attention to detail have ensured the quality of these structures from the ground up.

I have enjoyed participating in the construction of the new staff housing and finishing the Crafts Barn. Our contractors have been a pleasure to deal with and are true professionals in their work. As we wrap things up, I look forward to soon being issued a certificate of occupancy on all three structures -- Hayes B.

I am happy to work with The Mountain because you are so nice. You are very honest and you help me with the work, you are happy with my work and I am happy doing the work.
-- Gualberto R.
| Currently, the team is finishing up with the installation of appliances and cabinetry and we hope to have staff moving into their beautiful new homes in April! | |
Making a pledge for current and future contributions is another great way to show support and will help us better plan projects throughout the course of our Capital Campaign.

Projects are Springing Up
All Over The Mountain
| |
From the top of the Mountain down to the bottom of the lake, there are a lot of exciting projects and enhancements planned for this year!
After several years of design work and acquiring 13 different permits -- covering everything from fish and wildlife to soil and erosion -- we have received final permitting through the State, and we are ready to drain the lake and begin the repairs to the dam and drain system.
By the way if you ever dropped your cell phone in the lake, this spring might be a good time to come and look for it.

and valve which will now be replaced as part of the overall project-
|
Currently we have almost $300,000 on hand towards our revised estimate of at least $600,000. Thanks to your contributions and potential grants, we look forward to securing the dam, improving the lake experience, and maintaining the safety and integrity of the creek our lake feeds into.
We also look forward to putting your contributions to work on future projects including construction of our multi-purpose building as well as much-needed upgrades, updates and renovations to the guest cabins, dining hall, and electrical systems.

A Mountain Supporter Message
Greetings! It’s been less than a year since The Mountain Capital Campaign Committee welcomed me to the team and every day truly brings a new and deeper respect and admiration for this unique place and all it represents.
That The Mountain holds a special place in your heart and mind has been made clear by your support of this Capital Campaign. With over $2 Million in cash and pledges received to date, you have brought us very near to completing the Crafts Barn and new Staff Housing – check out the photos! Next up – beginning to work on the Dam rehabilitation project and down the road – a new ASCENDER building that will serve multiple functions. These exciting projects will enable The Mountain to bring new and meaningful programming to families, friends, and visitors alike and ensure The Mountain’s future for generations to come.
Remarkable? Well, your actions speak loudly and clearly! Thank you for your participation in this endeavor. The Campaign runs until 2026, contributions continue to be made (yes, you can!) and we’ll bring you these gratifying updates as we go along.
Happy Spring!
