AmFund 2024 Golden Pear Grant Applications Open for Nonprofits

The American Fundraising Foundation (AmFund) is accepting applications for its much-anticipated 2024 Golden Pear Grant Program through Tuesday, July 16, at 3 p.m. AmFund's Golden Pear Grant program originated amid the COVID-19 pandemic when nonprofit organizations struggled to meet their fundraising goals. Since 2020, AmFund has awarded over $500,000 in grants and more than $16 million in unrestricted donations to nonprofit organizations through its signature programs.

Golden Pear Grants are funded through Board approved allocations from its parent company – AmFund, Inc. All awards are unrestricted. The only requirement for application is that the organization be a federally recognized 501(c) organization. Grants applications are evaluated based on need and cause. We proudly select from a wide spectrum of services including humanitarian, veteran-focused, civic, animal welfare, the arts, youth, education, and others that continue to provide much-needed community support.

Applying for an unrestricted Golden Pear Grant is a straightforward process, designed to be completed in under two hours. This streamlined approach aims to reduce the burden on your staff's time from the very beginning. Grants are unrestricted, providing your organization with the flexibility it needs. Prior Golden Pear Grant applicants are encouraged to reapply. Organizations do not currently have to be an AmFund Approved Nonprofit Partner to be considered for funds. Upon successful submission, all applicants will receive an emailed copy of their application.

Game On-Community Place to Play Initiative Grants are Open

Game On-Community Places to Play is an initiative of The DICK’s Sporting Goods Foundation and LISC. The initiative provides funding and technical assistance to community-rooted organizations working to create and renovate multi-use youth sport spaces for youth ages 6-24 years old in under-resourced communities across the country. Special consideration will be given to proposals that demonstrate how their capital projects will support youth development programming.

The goal is to improve the quality, safety and accessibility of local athletic spaces for young people. Grant awards will range from $50,000-$100,000 and will require 1:1 match funding. Funds will be awarded to outdoor and indoor facilities that enable and demonstrate local community access and usage for all organized youth sports, including but not limited to basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, football, tennis, lacrosse and volleyball. Youth development program services should include, but are not limited to, life skills workshops, civic engagement and leadership, workforce development and academic support.

Non-profit community-based organizations leading renovation projects are eligible to apply. This includes schools and local parks and recreation departments that are collaborating with local non-profits.
