CaresGlobal has inaugurated a new classroom in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, focused on educating Pakistani minority refugee children—many of whom have faced religious persecution and systemic barriers to formal education due to visa restrictions and lack of documentation. This initiative marks a vital step toward restoring dignity, opportunity, and stability for displaced families.
The project is implemented in collaboration with Mother World Trust, a respected nonprofit with a strong track record in grassroots education and healthcare. The Trust provides full scholarships—including tuition, books, uniforms, and transportation—to underprivileged children and also leads integrated community development efforts supporting health and welfare.
Rajendra Gurjar, Chairman of Mother World Trust, emphasized the organization's impact:
“We are actively running a school providing quality education as well as healthcare programs that are transformative in regions with underprivileged communities and marginalized children.”
CaresGlobal, a U.S.-based initiative focused on human rights and heritage education, works extensively with stateless refugees from Pakistan who flee severe religious persecution. In addition to advocacy at international forums, CaresGlobal provides direct support through educational, livelihood, healthcare, and legal programs for vulnerable and displaced communities.
Following the success of its first refugee classroom in Ahmedabad, the new Jodhpur center aims to become a regional hub for refugee children with limited access to education.
Richa Gautam, Executive Director of CaresGlobal, shared:
“These children not only suffer persecution in Pakistan but are often further stigmatized in India due to their origin from an ‘enemy state’ and lack of proper visa status. In Jodhpur, we found 60 children who had not attended school since arriving in India. Some girls never accessed formal education in Pakistan due to the threat of abductions. That’s where CaresGlobal stepped in—to ensure they have the chance to learn and grow. We’re fortunate to have the support of Mother World Trust.”
