Thank you for a Successful 2025 Mid-Year Conference!

PBSA Mid-Year banner and photos of attendees

And that's a wrap! The 2025 Mid-Year Conference was held this week in Arlington, VA and we had 358 attendees! PBSA members were in the hub of the nation's activity and there was lots of information to share. There was a great Sunday night kick-off party, solid education sessions, but government relations and regulatory changes were the topic of almost every conversation.

A smaller group remained in DC and advocated for our industry and all members on Wednesday and were focused on the topics of the CFPB Data Broker Rule, data privacy and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Thanks to Akin Gump and Melissa Sorenson for setting up all the meetings for Hill Day. As always, this event would not be possible without the support of our exhibitors, sponsors and the participation of members.

We look forward to doing this bigger, better and on the west coast at the Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA in October 2025

Conference presentations are available for member view and access on our website HERE.

NOTE - If you had headshots taken at the Mid-Year Conference, the link for these and other photos taken at the event will be included in the Conference recap email which will come out next week.

By John Tsefrikas, published in the January-February edition of the PBSA Journal

One of the foremost challenges in U.S. pre-employment screening is managing the web of regulations governing the practice. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), along with varying state-specific rules, mandates how consumer reporting agencies must operate—ensuring accuracy, securing consent, and maintaining transparency in adverse action notices. Keeping pace with this regulatory landscape is essential for maintaining compliance and avoiding legal pitfalls.

To effectively navigate this, organizations need capabilities that can...
