Upcoming Benefits Open Enrollment Window
Benefits Open Enrollment is April 22-May 10. All benefits-eligible employees are able to enroll in or waive benefits. This year is a passive enrollment. If you do not take action, most of your benefit elections from the last plan year will roll over into the new plan year. If you have an HSA or FSA, you must take action and re-enroll to continue your plan.
Review your options now to take advantage of all your benefits. The most up-to-date, accurate information on medical options, supplemental benefits and so much more can be found on the Benefits page on The Commons.
DPS strives to provide affordable benefits. By contributing over $54.8 million each year, we cover about 76% of the total cost of benefits for employees.
DPS offers two types of insurance plans through United Health Care, MotivHealth and Kaiser Permanente. Consumer Driven Health Plans (CDHPs) and HMO Plans offer 100% covered preventive care. CDHPs may be ideal plans for those who expect lower annual medical costs as the premiums are less expensive. HMO plans might be a better fit for those with higher annual costs.

Beware of Phishing HealthEquity Customers
HealthEquity (our FSA/HSA provider) has seen an uptick in phishing emails targeting their customers and luring them into sharing their passwords. The threat actors have created fake websites impersonating HealthEquity to capture the victim's login credentials. If you think you may have been a victim, reach out to HealthEquity at 866-346-5800.
Be vigilant of suspicious emails from your banks and other institutions that use fake urgency or ask for personal information. If you are suspicious of an email, submit it to DoTS InfoSecurity with the PhishAlarm button on the right side of your dpsk12 Gmail page.
Remember to never reuse passwords between your online accounts. Create a unique password for each account and store them in a password manager like 1Password, Bitwarden or LastPass.

Jessica Martinez
Senior Team Lead, Traylor Academy
Collaboration, Equity, Fun
"Jessica displayed excellence in Collaboration, Equity and Fun in planning and facilitating Traylor's family math night. First, Jessica showed school and district collaboration with the math department, PEBC, and our school staff in order to have the event run smoothly. Next, she showed a dedication to equity by providing Spanish and Vietnamese translators for families during the presentation. She also gathered donations on her own time of math materials, board games and card games for students and families to take home. Lastly, she brought the fun by hosting make-and-take sessions where families and school staff created and played games together to increase math skills and fluency. It was an incredibly well-attended event, and feedback surveys show parents wanting another one! Way to go, Jessica!"
