Author Meet-and-Greet with Bobbi Illing and Bill Soroka

We are thrilled to be hosting co-authors Bill Soroka and Bobbi Illing! They will be here on Saturday, July 20th from 12pm-3pm to promote their book

Brandy approached me about starting the Writing Company several years ago. It was during the Covid shutdown, and she and her family were my “isolation pod.” One warm evening, we were driving around town, trying to find a place to view a rare comet–that was when she first told me about her hope to create a business to offer editing services to our local community. 

It’s been a wild ride ever since. We continued our discussion for the next few years, through trying to run a shop during Covid, through busy periods, through life tragedies. Finally, we sat down over martinis and she said, “We have to make this happen.” She brought Kathleen into the fold as our writing coach, seeing a local need for her services.

Since the start of Watermark Writing Company one year ago, we have met so many delightful people and created meaningful connections. We’ve seen projects through, attended a book launch, given local presentations. And we have learned more than we ever expected. We are constantly learning. All of this has happened in one short year–I can’t wait to see what will come in the next one! And I am so grateful to Brandy for starting this new adventure.
