Weekly Newsletter 07/12/2024

Dear Parents,

The big excitement this week was the installation of 2 of 3 new shade structures thanks to a $20,000 grant from the Early Learning Coalition. One shade structure was installed on our toddler playground and another one on the preschool side. This weekend the third one will be set up on our third playground. This one will enable our VPK and Elementary kids to be able to have picnics and read stories and do special projects outside in the shade. We are so very grateful once again for the fine work of The Early Learning Coalition of Miami Dade-Monroe for their continued support of early childhood programs like ours in Miami.

This week our oldest students participated in STEM activities with an engineering focus. In addition to performing several experiments, Students use recycled items to make cars while studying engineering which you can see in the pictures below.

This week our students also were treated to a performance from the Miami Children's Museum. They loved the Dr. Suess performance. If your child was in attendance, you will see an $8 charge to your Brightwheel account.

Finally, please mark your calendars for Friday, August 9th. Our school is CLOSED so that we an prepare the school for back to school on August 12th. That day we will also hold our Back To School Open House, Parents are invited to sign up for one of 3 time slots; 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30. Please note that this is an adults only event, you are asked to find childcare so that you can get to know the teachers and participate in orientation. For this reason, children are not permitted to attend. I hope you will make arrangements over the next month to be able to attend and learn more about the upcoming year for your child.

Have a Wonderful Weekend!
