Pentecost (May 19 this year) is a day to celebrate the church, as it is and as it will be.
In that spirit, a portion of worship will be dedicated to a Celebration of Service, where we get to recognize the special ministries of the church that have made Northmont the community that it is today.
So, if you have specific individuals who have served or who are serving in specialized ways throughout the church that you would like to recognize, please submit their name and their service to Pastor Ben to be included in this segment of worship by Wednesday May 15. Thanks!

Alleluia! Christ is risen! The Lord is risen, indeed! Alleluia! Easter lasts for 50 days. Do you know the saying, “As Sunday is to the week, Easter is to the year?” Those who configured the liturgical calendar were very clever. The season of Easter extends for 50 days, ending on Pentecost, hence the name. 50 days is roughly one-seventh of the 365 day year. In other words, Easter is the “Sunday” of the liturgical year.
The gospels of the season relate Jesus’ time on earth between the resurrection and the Ascension. We bask in the joyful news of redeemed life and revel in singing alleluias.
We wish you all a joyous celebration of Easter. Alleluia! Christ is risen! The Lord is risen, indeed! Alleluia!
On Sunday, May 12, we will be holding a special musical service during worship. Stay tuned for more details.
