Message from the Associate Dean - BCH Oakland
July 2024
| |
It is summer and we are starting a new
academic year!
Welcome to the new residents and fellows on campus. It is truly exciting for us to welcome a new class. Meet a new fellow or resident and say ‘hello.’ See below for details on the BCH Oakland Pediatric Intern Class
We also want to congratulate the residents and fellows who completed their training with us this year and wish them well. Many are staying close with us at UCSF in continued work or training, including our rising chiefs: Sarah Blacher, Kelly Hilk, Jay Kwon, and Emily Moody.
With all this change comes opportunity. Save the date for Coffee and Donuts with the Dean and CEO on Wednesday, August 7, 8:00-9:00 am. Talmadge King, Jr, MD, and Suresh Gunasekaran will be on-site in the Bertha Wright Boardroom. They will also be at Mission Bay on Friday, July 19, from 8:00 to 9:00 am and at Parnassus, July 24, from 8:00 to 9:00 am if you want to catch them there. Please see the link below to RSVP and select your location.
We also welcome many new faculty this summer. It truly is an exciting time.
Be well,
Kelley

Release of the UCSF Changemaker Series | |
The UCSF Changemaker Series, created by Professor of Medicine Hilary Seligman, MD, MAS, is a four-part video series that seeks to build the capacity of UCSF researchers to generate scientific evidence that is responsive to the needs of real-world decision-makers. Each 10-15 minute video highlights a UCSF researcher in conversation with an interdisciplinary panel of non-academic experts discussing how investigators at all stages of their careers can more meaningfully inform policies, systems, and structures in order to create social or policy change.
