Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week, our kids in Yellow, Blue, Rainbow, Purple, Orange, and Brown visited the Little Farm. This was our first on-site field trip of the new school year. The kids treasured learning about the animals and having a chance to enter the petting zoo. I am sure you loved seeing the photos on Brightwheel. 

Academic Progress:

Our students have settled into their routines, and we are thrilled to witness their passion for learning. The students have been actively participating in their activities, and their growth and curiosity have been truly inspiring. They are learning and developing, and we are genuinely impressed by their dedication and effort. This is a testament to their hard work and your support at home.

Reminders:

Homework: Please check your child's homework and encourage them to complete their assignments on time. Feel free to get in touch with their teacher if there are any issues, or your child needs additional support.

Attendance: We cannot stress enough the importance of regular attendance for student success. Please check-in/out your children daily on the Brightwheel app. If your child will be absent or attending late, please inform the school. 

FEES: A supply fee of $170 is due on Monday, September 9th, and a technology fee of $50 is due on Monday, September 23rd. NOTE: PURPLE, BROWN, SILVER, and GOLD have one last supply fee that is billed on the first Monday of February.

HURRICANES....We always hope to have a year with NO STORMS. In case you have not read our parent handbook (WHICH IS LOCATED ON OUR WEBSITE IN THE PARENT CORNER), please be advised that if, at any time during hurricane season, MDCPS announces that Public Schools are closed for the safety of their students and staff, Kids For Kids Academy will also be closed. 

Thank you for participating in the Papa John's fundraiser. The cards came in this week; you can see the office if you have not received yours. We were able to raise $1,710 for our garden. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and active involvement in your child's education. We are eagerly looking forward to another productive and enjoyable week ahead.
