The Most Important Thing You Can Do for Humanity and the Planet is Get Out the Vote!

If you missed LexCAN's July 6th Community Meeting on easy and effective ways to get out the vote, here is a recording:

Recording of 7/9 Voting Matters Meeting

One effective step is to join a voter project. Sending postcards, making phone calls, canvassing door-to-door are some ways we can make a difference. Check these voter projects with proven records:

The Environmental Voter Project: identifies inactive environmentalists and transforms them into consistent voters to build the power of the environmental movement.

Force Multiplier Democracy in Action Fund: These grassroots voter projects are expanding the electorate and building democracy in six critical states. All eight groups are non-partisan 501c3s providing an opportunity for tax advantaged giving. Learn more about 8 non-partisan groups

Movement Voter Fund: Movement Voter Fund helps funders deploy resources for greatest impact, by investing in grassroots groups working to advance democracy, equity, and sustainability

On June 4th, the Town hosted an information session to introduce the concept of networked geothermal heating and cooling systems and provide an overview of what the Town is exploring through an initial feasibility study funded by a Kickstart Massachusetts grant.

Networked geothermal is a proven technology for efficiently decarbonizing heating and cooling of buildings. It has the potential to accelerate the transition from gas to clean energy at the speed and scale needed to meet the state’s net zero carbon emissions goals.
