Saint Clement is a dynamic Catholic parish that cherishes our past, celebrates our present and embraces the endless possibilities of our future. On Tuesday, April 2nd, our highly anticipated and historic dome restoration project began bright and early at 5 a.m. Our construction team began building the scaffolding necessary for the scope of this project.
CLOSURES
You will notice some sidewalk closures on Orchard Street along the west side of the church, along with the eastern side of the parking lane on Orchard Street. Please note, the Orchard Street chapel entrance door will not be accessible during this period of scaffolding, which should wrap up in about two weeks.
INFORMATIONAL VIDEO AT MASS THIS WEEKEND
While the dome itself remains structurally sound, extensive corrosion at the base of all sixteen trusses left us with no choice but to undertake this project now to preserve our sacred space and continue using it safely for generations to come. This weekend, we will be sharing more information about our dome project through a video which we will be playing during Mass. We hope you will join us as we hear from our incredible leaders, who have been steering this project.
UPCOMING TOWN HALL MEETINGS
If you are interested in learning more about the dome work or still have questions, we will be hosting a Town Hall in the church on Wednesday, April 17th at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 21st after the 11:15 a.m. Mass.
