Manitowoc County Kennel Club's registration for classes is done in person (no dogs) at the Manitowoc County Kennel Club on Albert Dr. on April 22nd from 6:00–6:30pm. We recommend coming to register closer to 6:00pm as classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis and class sizes are limited. Classes will being on April 28th. See our website for all information and requirements at https://mc-kc.com/obedience/schedule/.

Hope House of Manitowoc County: Savor your favorite dishes while helping to raise funds for families facing homelessness. You can place your order online or in person at Panda Express on April 24th and June 12th. We organize several fundraisers throughout the year, so please visit our website and follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates. The funds collected provide shelter and hope for our families as they strive to achieve their goals. Your generosity is crucial; without it, homeless families would struggle to find a safe place to stay, receive support, and thrive.

Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum: Ink & Drink: Friday, April 25th, 5:30–8:30pm. Grab your friends and join us to print one-of-a-kind posters using vintage type. No previous experience is necessary; we will provide step-by-step instructions. Come on out to drink a bit and print a lot! Ink & Drink events are a great place to try your hand at letterpress printing. Have a short book quote or one line of a song lyric you like? Lester Public Library: Celebrate Arbor Day 10:00am–noon this Saturday, April 26th with the library and the Two Rivers Parks & Rec Department. Learn just how important trees are! Witness a tree-felling demonstration as experts take down a tree lost to the dreadful invasive emerald ash borer (and learn facts about that darn bug). We'll plant new little trees together. Plus, roast s'mores over a fire and create colorful chalk art. All ages welcome. This is a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Urban Forestry Program. Lester Public Library.

Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital: Safely dispose of unused and expired medications at a Drive-Thru Drug Collection, Saturday, April 26th, from 9:00am–noon at the west side main entrance of Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital. Prescription and over-the-counter medications, ointments, sprays, inhalers, creams, herbals and pet medications will be accepted. Please empty pills into a clear, sealable plastic bag. The event is sponsored by Froedtert Holy Family Memorial Hospital, Healthiest Manitowoc County, Manitowoc County Recycling & Compost, Manitowoc County Sherriff and Manitowoc Police Department.

Roncalli Catholic Schools: Get ready for the 41st Annual Roncalli Pierside Auction this Saturday! The in-person, adults-only event will take place Saturday, April 26th at Roncalli High School, 2000 Mirro Drive in Manitowoc. Admission is free. Doors open at 5:30pm with entrance at the Fine Arts Center at Roncalli High School. The online portion of the auction will run from 3:00pm April 24th to 3:00pm April 28th at roncalliauction.givesmart.com. The online auction will have entirely different items available. LWV of Manitowoc County: "Our County without Immigrants: Myths, Facts, Resources": Thursday, May 1st, 6:00 to 8:00pm. First Lutheran Church, 521 N 8th St., Manitowoc. Information session for those concerned with the threats to immigrant neighbors and the impact on our economy. A panel of speakers will discuss federal policies and actions on immigration. Presented by The League of Women Voters (LWV) of Manitowoc County and RUTH, an interfaith justice group in Manitowoc County.

Wisconsin Maritime Museum: Join the Wisconsin Maritime Museum for Think & Drink on Thursday, May 1st at 6:30pm! Enjoy a drink and dive into Wisconsin’s glacial past with Dolly McNulty of the Ice Age Trail Alliance. She’ll explore the 1,200-mile Ice Age Trail, a natural wonder shaped over 12,000 years ago. Learn how this scenic footpath connects communities and preserves our geological heritage. Doors open at 6:00pm, presentation begins at 6:30pm. The event is free to attend, both in-person and virtually.

Lakeshore Wind Ensemble: Don’t miss the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble’s season finale, “An American Salute: Wisconsin Rhapsody” on Saturday, May 3rd at 7:30pm at the Capitol Civic Centre in Manitowoc! Under the direction of Jeremiah Eis, this patriotic concert celebrates musicians, composers, and musical selections related to our great state! Enjoy performances by guest vocalist David Bourgeois and guest pianist Dr. Justin Krueger, including Rhapsody in Blue, America the Beautiful, the title track for the WWII mini-series Masters of the Air, and more. Painting Pathways Clubhouse: Are you looking for a fun way to spend time with your closest friends? Maybe time to bond with loved ones? How about a creative outlet to team build with coworkers? We will have a step-by-step canvas painting every third Friday of the month at 5:00pm. Each class will be 1 to 2 hours. Two Rivers Optimist Club: The Two Rivers High School Octagon club will be hosting their annual Spring Electronics Drive on Saturday, May 17th. This event will also host a free Shred Event sponsored by Fox Communities Credit Union. The event will be held in the parking lot of the J. E. Hamilton Community House at 1520 17th Street, from 9:00am to 1:00pm. All proceeds will be used by the Octagon Club for scholarships, Christmas Donations, Daycare Books, a bike for the Great Bike Give A-Way and other opportunities. United Way Manitowoc County is excited to announce the Nominees for the Volunteer Center’s first annual Impact Awards! This inspiring event celebrates the dedication and impact of volunteers who make a difference in Manitowoc County and recognizes volunteers in five award categories. Lincoln Park Zoological Society: Spring is in the air and so is the need to tidy up the Lincoln Park Zoo! The Safety Health and Wellness Committee: Do you still have your OSHA 300A summary from 2024 posted? The OSHA 300A summary must be posted at your workplace from February 1st until April 30th every year from the prior year, for all employees to see. After the posting comes down, it must be retained for 5 years along with the OSHA 300 incident log. Your OSHA 300 submission is due to OSHA by March 2nd. Put these dates on your calendar, they are as important as your taxes!
