Let the Good Times Roll!

And be ready for WHATEVER!

From the very start, our HALTER Project motto has been “Ready for Whatever”. Well, the “whatever" is sure as heck headed our way right now, and looks like lots more to come throughout the summer.

If you’re subscribed to our NewsNotes, and perhaps follow us on social media, you’re already part of a community of folks committed to being prepared and ready to keep animals safer during and after disasters.

But, what about everyone else? You can make a huge difference, by being an “Animal Prep Ambassador”.

How? Simply by sharing these newsletters, amplifying our social messages, and, most importantly, simply talking with neighbors, family members, barn buddies, work colleagues, dog-walkers, pet-sitters, veterinarians, caregivers, schoolmates. In other words, share your knowledge with everyone you know who owns, or cares for or about animals.

HALTER Project gives you all the free resources, workbooks, tip sheets, and videos you need to create your own Animal Disaster Prep program.

Practice your pitch by making these Top Tips part of your own Animal Emergency Plan. These steps apply to every type of natural disaster. Added bonus: If you’re prepared for big weather events, you’ll be better-prepared for everyday emergencies, too!

Go for it—YOU can be the leader of your pack, herd, neighborhood or family. And we’ve got your back.

Disaster Action Plan for Equines and Companion Livestock

It’s time to get serious about making, or updating, your Disaster Action Plan for the equines and companion livestock in your life -- yes, chickens, too!

To help you organize and cover all the “What Ifs', we’ve compiled lists of all the “Must Haves” to include in your plan. You can download our Barn & Ranch Safety Workbook to guide you.

So grab an icy drink, find a shady spot, and settle down with a couple of friends to do the prep work that’ll help you keep your beloved animal companions safer.

You’re ready to organize your Animal Emergency plans and info, but where to start?? Right here!

Choose the Prep Packet that fits your needs, download, print, read, fill out, store and share! All the tips, checklists and forms are in each workbook.

Get together with friends, family or barn buddies and work together. You’ll feel great and be ready for anything that summer, (and the rest of the seasons), throws your way.

Keep Summer Fun Safe for Pets

Summertime BBQs might be loads of tasty fun for us, but they’re no picnic for pooches who eat what’s cooking. It’s easy to get distracted but important to keep dogs away from the table, hot grills, and many other hazards we take for granted.

Planning for Animal Staycations & Travel

Whether your critters are hitting the road together or stay-cationing at home, having an emergency plan should be part of your summertime prep.

Our checklist will help you, or your sitter, know what to do in an emergency. And, if you know someone who owns or manages a pet-friendly AirBnB, campground or resort, be sure to share our Animal Emergency Prep for Travel Checklist!
