Recital Costumes

We spend many hours determining the correct costumes for each class. Costumes are age-appropriate and of the highest quality possible.

Distribution

Recital Costumes are being distributed this week! To ensure that there are no costume problems, students should not wear their costumes, accessories, or tights prior to the in-studio dress rehearsal or performance. As Recital Costumes come home be sure to label each costume piece with your dancer's name.

Alterations

Although rare, alterations are sometimes needed after the costumes have been distributed and are the responsibility of the student’s parent or guardian.

Ballet Costumes: Ballet Levels 3 & up

In an effort to keep costume costs down, and to present a classic and elegant appearance, Ballet 3-8 costumes are created by accessorizing the students’ dress code leotards with a skirt and headpiece. Skirts & Headpieces will be distributed May 20-25 during In-Studio Dress Rehearsal Week. Leotard color must match those in our boutique (see chart below) and must be in good condition (no rips, stains, holes, or faded color). Leotard style must be camisole/spaghetti strap or thin tank. Stage lights will enhance any color discrepancies.

The following shoes are in accordance with our dress code and are required for all students.

Recital Ticket Sales Begin April 10 at 10AM

Make sure you check which show(s) your dancer is cast in and set an alarm. Watch the video at lomastro.com/recital to learn how to purchase tickets, then login to your account to order online.

Ticket Limits: Tickets are limited to 6 tickets per student through April 19, to ensure all families an equal opportunity. On April 20 all remain seats will become available and families are welcome to purchase additional tickets. We expect our Recitals to sellout, so don't wait to get tickets.

Tickets: Tickets are $25-31 in advance, reserved seating. Tickets are non-refundable.

Everyone needs a ticket. If younger siblings would be uncomfortable remaining seated, please don’t bring them to the recital. Children who are running around the auditorium are distracting to audience members.
