Mobilizing Vaccination Policy in Long-term Care Settings Expert Meeting

The International Federation on Ageing (IFA) is pleased to announce the release of the Consensus Statement and Recommendations from the Mobilizing Vaccination Policy in Long-term Care Settings Expert Meeting, held on 25 March 2024 in Brussels, Belgium.

The consensus statement and accompanying recommendations from this meeting reflect collective deliberations from global expert delegates on joint actions to improve long-term care facility (LTCF) vaccination policy. The experts that convened for this meeting were from multiple sectors and specialities, including academia, ageing, public health, chronic disease advocacy, and geriatricians and gerontologists.

The influence of this multisectoral deliberation resulted in a thoughtful discussion that considered biopsychosocial, political, and country-specific factors to influence advancement in LTCF vaccination policy. The Consensus Statement and Recommendations from this Expert Meeting are now available on IFA’s Vaccines4Life (V4L) platform.
