Thursday, July 18, 2024 | 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Meadows Museum | 5900 Bishop Blvd, Dallas 75205

Spanish Cinema Now+ presents a showcase of films that reflects the breadth of styles and talents at work in Spain today, including both established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene. After its spring presentation in Washington, DC, the Meadows Museum will bring these films to Texas this summer thanks to a partnership with the Embassy of Spain and Dallas Film Society, Inc.
This month we present LOVE & REVOLUTION / Te estoy amando locamente (2023) directed by Alejandro Marín. At a time when homosexuality is a crime in Spain, Reme, a traditional mother moved by love for her son, a teenage aspiring artist, will become involved in the Andalusian LGBTI movement, paradoxically conceived within the Church. Love & Revolution received 5 nominations for the Goya Film Awards, including best new director and best original screenplay.
