West Wind District Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet
Thursday, May 23 2024 6PM-8PM
Chelmsford Senior Center, 75 Groton Rd., N. Chelmsford 01863
Dear West Wind Scouters:
I’m delighted to share with you details for this year’s banquet and awards ceremony. We’re looking forward to a great evening of fellowship and appreciation for the hard work that you and all the Scouters in our District do to support and develop the youth in our communities. This is a fine chance to recognize the outstanding Scouters in your unit, to learn more about the District and the amazing accomplishments you all have made, and to simply have an evening to relax and enjoy time with others who share the ideals of the Scout Law and work so hard for our youth.
We will have a very brief business meeting to formalize the slate of District officials for the forthcoming year. If you are interested in serving on one of our many committees at the Disrict level, please email me at westwinddistrict@gmail.com and I’ll be glad to share information with you – we desperately need help in Membership, Finance, and Service along with our other standing committees. We will also be presenting the suite of annual awards within the District. Details of how to apply for these are given below. Let’s make sure every unit is represented by naming their “Spark Plug” at the very least!
We are holding the Banquet at the Chelmsford Senior Center this year, 75 Groton Road in North Chelmsford. There will be a catered buffet and soft drinks available. This is a non-uniformed event so please dress up and come ready to celebrate!
There is a registration fee of $30 per person for the event. To register yourself and others for the dinner, please go to this link.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Yours in Scouting,
Sarath Krishnaswamy
District Chair

Veteran Awards: These recognize Scouters who have reached a milestone of years in Scouting as a registered Scout or Scouter, in multiples of 5 years (5, 10, 15, etc….). You can find the application at this link and submit it at the Training Awards link above,
District Award of Merit: This recognizes individuals who have provided outstanding service at the District level.
