New study by Carlos Aguilar, Ph.D. explores efficacy of utilizing lipid mediators to treat Volumetric Muscle Loss (VML) and other musculoskeletal conditions.

In a recent study, Center for RNA Biomedicine's Carlos Aguilar, Ph.D., and his team explored lipid mediators' effectiveness in treating Volumetric Muscle Loss (VML). Their study focused on the inflammatory-reducing mediator Maresin 1 and presented promising findings. These findings showcased a reduction in fibrosis and inflammation and increased muscle force, indicating potential for innovative treatments in complex conditions such as VML.
