Community Outreach Updates

JPS Health Network plays a critical role in community outreach, engagement, education, and healthcare. Our teams are committed to addressing the changing needs of the Tarrant County community. JPS is devoted to being in the forefront of innovative programs and partnerships as community needs change. We are excited to give an update on our ongoing outreach efforts and share several new partnerships that were developed in 2023.

2023 Year in Review

Kidney Wellness & Health Expo

On March 9, Tarrant County Commissioner Alisa Simmons hosted a Kidney Wellness and Health Expo for Arlington residents. The purpose of this event was to raise kidney health awareness. JPS was on site to provide resources, health education, and information on JPS programs and services. Together, we took important steps toward raising kidney health awareness for Tarrant County residents.

Keeping Tarrant County Safe

JPS Trauma Services and Behavioral Health outreach teams participated in a Safety Pop-up event on March 23 hosted by Cook Children’s Center for Community Health. This event held at LVTRise provided an opportunity for team members to share safety education and other resources.

Thank you, JPS team members, for your dedication to Tarrant County.

Master Facility Plan Update

The Psychiatric Emergency Center (PEC) is expected to open in 2025. Construction crews have begun to build the steel frame. The PEC is designed to treat patients experiencing mental health crises. The facility will have three times the number of care spaces and separate units for adults and adolescents.
