As many of you know I have been placing my mother's public indoor and outdoor art into the Public Art Archive. The Public Art Archive is a searchable database of completed public artworks from around the world.


Four sculptures on the campus of Broward College at Pembroke Pines Florida were recently added to the PAA. (See photos below)


To date there are now 70 locations of my mother's art around the country which have been catalogued in the PAA. (See Gillespie Public Art below)

In 1991 my mother created this 17-piece outdoor sculpture titled, "Color Clouds and Ribboned Currents". It was supposed to be a permanent fixture at Broward's south campus at Pembroke Pines. When planning the work, my mother kept in mind the amount of pedestrian traffic in the area, the shapes and colors of the surrounding architecture and the environment. It was seen from several vantage points outside the campus, especially by motorists and by people in the low-flying aircraft of adjacent Hollywood Airport. Unfortunately, in October 2005, Hurricane Wilma damaged the sculpture and it had to be taken down.
