Eagle Board & Workbook Volunteers Wanted

As a scouting volunteer you know the value of Scouting to developing our nation’s young people into future leaders. Whether you are serving in a leadership role in scouting or have transitioned the role to your successor, thank you for helping scouting thrive!

There is more that you can do to help scouting. Last year the Great Eastern District Advancement Team convened 41 Eagle Boards of Review and approved many more Eagle Projects. We are actively recruiting volunteers to serve;

  • As district representatives Eagle Board of Review
  • As district signatory on Eagle Project Workbook proposals.
  • As an Eagle Application and Workbook review administrator
  • As a trainer for Path to Eagle workshops

The qualifications are;

  • A familiarity with the aims and goals of Scouting through active involvement in a troop or crew.
  • A basic understanding of Scouting rank advancement through troop advancement.
  • A basic understanding of planning and safely executing a simple project.

You do not need to be currently registered with a troop or crew. Training is offered for all positions and there is a seasoned team of volunteers to help you get up to speed.
