MESSAGE FROM JIMMY

In Worship…

Easter Sunday

“Who Will Roll Away the Stone?”

Mark 16:1-8

Jesus’ death and resurrection declare him to be the conqueror of death and Lord of Life. There is no obstacle between us and God that is too big for him to move.

The greatest week in the Christian year is finally here! I have two things for you this week.

1. Treat them like we would treat Him. Easter Sunday will be our largest attended Sunday of 2024, and we want to ensure our guests and members feel the warmth and love of Christ when they get here. I am asking you to make it your personal mission this Sunday to go out of your way to speak to someone new or those you haven’t seen in a while. Let’s make sure everyone is treated and welcomed as we would treat Christ if He walked through our doors. Furthermore, I am asking those who can use the MEA parking lot on Sunday to leave the spaces in front of the sanctuary and behind the sanctuary for our seniors and guests. BTW: Our hospitality tent will be up in front of the Sanctuary and Worship Center for coffee and fellowship. The weather is supposed to be amazing on Sunday!

2. Invite someone. If you have a friend or neighbor without a church family, I want to encourage you to reach out to them and invite them to join you and your family at one of our services this week. I assure you we will welcome them, share the gospel of Jesus with them, and encourage them to journey with Christ with us. We have a privileged opportunity to help our friends and community take their next steps in following Jesus as their Risen Savior! He is our Hope and the giver of life eternal. Send a text, email, DM, or invite them to Cups for coffee and tell them to come to church with you. We can not keep this news to ourselves!
